Boards & Commissions

Overview
Citizen involvement is vital to the progress of the City and quality and responsiveness of public decision-making. Serving on a board or commission is a great way to become actively involved in city government and influence the policies, actions and progress of our community. Members of boards and commissions are volunteer residents appointed by the City Council, except for Charter Commission members, who are appointed by the chief judge of the Judicial District. Expiring Board and Commission terms are reviewed annually in the spring. If you are interested in serving on a board or commission please complete an application, and return to the City Clerk.
The City of Columbia Heights is currently accepting applications for one opening on the Charter Commission. Please submit applications to the City Clerk by July 31, 2022.
