Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Woodway Town Council will hold a Virtual Public Hearing on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. or as called as soon thereafter, via Microsoft Teams. The purpose of the public hearing is for considering comment regarding approval of a franchise agreement with Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC, locally known as Comcast.

Any interested person(s) may provide oral and written public testimony regarding this issue at the virtual public hearing. Directions for participation in the virtual public hearing can be found here. Written comments may also be submitted prior to the public hearing to Heidi Napolitino, Clerk-Treasurer at Comments received by noon on October 5 will be provided to the Council electronically for consideration at that evening’s meeting. Comments received after that deadline will be provided to the Council after the meeting. A copy of the franchise is available for review in the September 21, 2020 Council Packet available on the Town’s website.

The Town of Woodway will attempt to accommodate any special needs of those wishing to attend. If you require special needs, please contact Town Hall a minimum of three (3) working days prior to the meeting date.

Notice of SEPA Threshold Determination

Proposal: Adoption of the Amendments to the Woodway Municipal Urban Growth Area Subarea Plan that includes renaming the subarea plan to Point Wells Subarea Plan 2020 and the related actions (197-11-060 (3)(b)) of amendments to the Urban Village Zone District (WMC 14.40) and adopting a new chapter entitled Urban Village Design Standards (WMC 14.60).

Threshold Determination: The Town of Woodway has determined that the proposed amendments to the Point Wells Subarea Plan 2020 and amendments to the Urban Village Zone District (WMC 14.40) and a new chapter entitled Urban Village Design Standards (WMC 14.60) does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment, and on September 21, 2020 issued a Determination of Non-Significance.

Public Comment Period: The DNS was issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by October 5, 2020.
