Public Works (3)

Public Works is responsible for all maintenance of city streets including storm sewer maintenance and repair, sidewalk repair, asphalt patching, utility cut repair, right-of-way mowing, park and cemetery maintenance, traffic signals, and signs as well as laying pipe. Public Works assists with the Rhythm & Ribs BBQ Festival, Hometown Holidays, Arts in Black Festival, and Fiesta del Pueblo. The Public Works Department is broken down into 4 divisions: Street Department, Traffic Department, Parks, and Cemetery Department.
